LINE/DINING/PREPARING/PROCESSING 2009
here I look at the marxist idea of alienated labor and 'misinterpret' it in respect to my art practice. I objectify an historical mode of production that relates to my feild of work (abstract expressionist painting) and manipulate a photocopy exposing its commodification. I then further manipulate the marbled pages by sewing them into a book and tearing the pages out to make paper airplanes. after throwing airplanes at people watching the performance I take a snapshot with them in heart shaped glasses. through this action I look at the production of mementos or souvenirs as a similar mediator of our experiences.
